Position: Lecturer (Fall 2026)

Overview

The School of Public Affairs & Administration invites applications for lecturer faculty to teach a variety of public and nonprofit management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels during Fall 2026. The successful candidate will cover the full range of duties associated with teaching, including preparing course material, creating and posting a course syllabus, presenting material during assigned course times, holding office hours and providing appropriate out‑of‑class time for students, responding to student e‑mails, conducting and grading assessments of students through assignments, exams, and other means, in a timely manner, and submitting final grades.

Course appointments may require instruction during the day, on evenings, on weekends, or online.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare course material and create and post course syllabi.
  • Present material during assigned course times.
  • Hold office hours and provide appropriate out‑of‑class time for students.
  • Respond to student e‑mails in a timely manner.
  • Conduct and grade assessments of students through assignments, exams, and other means.
  • Submit final grades.
  • Teach during day, evening, weekend, or online sessions as required.
Qualifications

Faculty are expected to have graduated from a Master’s or PhD program in Public Administration or an affiliated field. Candidates with a Master’s degree should also possess significant experience as a practitioner in the subject matter. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated evidence of past teaching effectiveness and considerable professional experience in public or nonprofit sectors.

Salary

$2,777 minimum per credit rate.
