SUMMARY
The Leaguers, Incorporated is seeking Full-time Associate Teachers for its Preschool Classrooms for the School Year.
POSITION DESCRIPTIONOur Head Start Associate Teachers are responsible for supporting and assisting the teacher in planning and implementing an age‑appropriate educational environment that fosters the cognitive, emotional, and physical growth of young children 3‑5 years of age.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist in planning and implementing age‑appropriate activities that foster the cognitive, emotional, and physical growth of young children, including children with special needs.
- Follow regulations set forth in the Head Start Performance Standards, the Employee Handbook, and licensing requirements.
- Provide opportunities for the integration of other service areas (health, mental health, nutrition & safety).
- Assist in the development of weekly lesson plans, written reports, personal observations, screenings and assessments.
- Create an environment that fosters and promotes parent engagement.
- MUST hold a minimum of an Associates Degree or 60 college credits in Early Childhood Education (Pre‑K) or related field.
- Bilingual - English/Haitian Creole preferred.

SALARYBased on experience and certification.
