Part-Time Instructor, Honors and Learning Community, Fall

Position Title

Part‑time instructor (Lecturer/Coadjutant) for the Fall 2026 semester in the Honors Living and Learning Community at Rutgers University‑Newark.

A minimum of $2,777 per credit

• Prepare course material, create and post a syllabus, and present material during assigned course times.
• Hold office hours and provide out‑of‑class time for students.
• Respond to student e‑mails and conduct grading of assignments, exams, and other assessments in a timely manner.
• Submit final grades.
• Teach surveys or upper‑level courses focused on specific themes or topics.
• Deliver instruction via day, evening, weekend, off‑campus, online, hybrid, or remote formats as required.

• Minimum bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level.
