Folsom School District is looking for a dynamic candidate to assist the classroom teacher. The candidate should possess the qualities to help students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education; and maintain positive relationships with parents and other staff members.

This position will be available for the  school year.

• Elementary Teacher Certification, County Substitute Certification, or minimum 30 college credits.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status

Superintendent

• 1. Provide direct instruction of students under direct supervision of teacher.
• 2. Conduct instructional activities assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching their academic goals and grade-level standards.
• 3. Implement, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of assisting the teacher in improving students’ academic success.
• 4. Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials.
• 5. Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• 6. Assist teacher with administrative records and preparation of required reports.
• 7. Function as an appropriate role model for children, providing proper examples, emotional support, and a friendly attitude and general guidance.
• 8. Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom, and/or during special area classes.
• 9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
