Supervisor
- Office Of Educator Effectiveness

The State District Superintendent invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position of Supervisor
- Office of Educator Effectiveness. Qualifications and requirements include a master's degree from an accredited college or university, a New Jersey Permanent Supervisor's Certificate, a minimum of five years successful teaching experience, and two years in a position which involves evaluating teachers. Knowledge of the New Jersey Professional Standards for Teachers and School Leaders, the New Jersey Professional Development Standards, and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards is also required.

Basic functions and responsibilities include supporting the Director of Educator Effectiveness, supporting the development of district leaders and teachers, collaborating with Teaching and Learning, and Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Testing to ensure that staff development initiatives are based on student achievement data and needs of staff members, providing orientation and on-going support for novice teachers, providing on-going support to Mentor Teachers, ensuring that all NBOE school leaders and teachers are made aware of professional development requirements set forth by the State of New Jersey and are informed of professional development opportunities, facilitating the continual learning of school leaders and teachers through collaborative enterprises with local colleges and universities, facilitating the work of district committees involved in professional development activities, overseeing the implementation of a support program for veteran teachers, supporting school leaders with norming of formal/informal observations, as needed, responding to requests from principals and department heads for the creation of customized professional development and facilitation services, observing, supporting, and evaluating office personnel as assigned, and performing related duties as required.

Salary: $107,500-$143,500. Employment Period:
Twelve (12) Months. Union Affiliation: C.A.S.A. (City Association of Supervisors and Administrators)
