Job Summary
Provide program management oversight over scope, schedule and budget of energy efficiency projects in compliance with the BPU Order and CLIENT procedures, ensuring that projects meet all program requirements and are cost effective.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with BPU approved programs.
- Interface with CLIENT associates, vendors, customers, and outside consultants to assure program rules and requirements are maintained, projects are cost effective, and required information for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.
- Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC, applying knowledge in energy savings measures and techniques.
- Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and direct vendor and contractor activities, review deliverables, monitor performance, and process invoices.
- Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices.
- Compile and analyze data from multiple projects to monitor status, report to management, and provide monthly project status forecasts.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests, including storm restoration efforts when required.
- Perform project site visits as required.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of CLIENT Standards of Business Controls and manage internal business controls effectively.
- B.S. degree plus 5 years of experience in energy efficiency programs, construction, or related fields (or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
- Experience processing milestone-based construction payments and forecasting financial spend.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation, and cost.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word).
- Commitment to process improvement and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of CLIENT’s CEF energy efficiency order and related frameworks such as the NJ Cost Test.
- Ability to travel within CLIENT territory for meetings, inspections, and contractor management.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license preferred.
- Vendor management and invoicing skills.
- Building Performance Institute Certifications preferred.
- Certified Energy Manager preferred.
Salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market. Some positions may include bonuses or other incentives.
