Are you a skilled Molding Process Engineer with a passion for plastics and a talent for optimizing production?
Our client, a nationally recognized leader in precision metal stamping, injection molding, assembly, and tooling with over 50 years in the business, is looking for a skilled engineer to join their team at their Corporate Headquarters. They are dedicated to an exciting, innovative environment serving the medical, automotive, and industrial sectors.
They are looking for a skilled and motivated Molding Process Engineer to be a key member of their Molding Department Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the production of high-tolerance plastic parts that consistently meet customer specifications efficiently and in a safe environment.
Drive Molding Excellence - Your Impact Will Include:
- Performing Design of Experiments (DOE) on new tooling programs to establish optimal molding processes.
- Creating and maintaining essential process and manufacturing documentation.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives within the Molding Department.
- Participating in new program development, quoting, and APQP teams related to molding tooling.
- Supporting ISO/QS/TS audits for the Molding department.
- Promoting and ensuring adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.
- Assisting in the design of new mold tooling and identifying advanced molding technologies.
- BSME or a Plastics-related degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in plastic process development for high-tolerance parts.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering grade plastics and their processing.
- Advanced knowledge of Mold tooling.
- Expertise in Design of Experiments (DOE) for plastic processing.
- Scientific molding expertise (Master Molder preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A driven self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize independently.
- A collaborative team player who interacts effectively across departments.
- Proficiency with Windows-based PC skills (Microsoft Office).
- ISO/QS/TS knowledge preferred.
- Bi-Lingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
