Role Description
Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Compliance Field Inspector Manager to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). In this role, you will review construction work plans, monitor compliance, and report on environmental permitting requirements.
The HTP is a transformative, high‑profile infrastructure initiative that will strengthen mobility and enhance resiliency in the Northeast Corridor.
Role Accountabilities- Perform field audits of environmental documentation and field activities
- Review and prepare written technical reports documenting environmental construction compliance
- Report inconsistencies, environmental permitting requirements and contract specifications to the environmental compliance team
- Provide oversight of construction as it relates to environmental compliance
- Ability to interpret scientific data and specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology or a closely related discipline
- 8+ years of prior experience performing construction site inspections
Skills and Abilities
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout the NY/NJ Metro Area
- Valid driver’s license
- Prior experience providing environmental inspections in and for NY, NJ and/or NYC agencies
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers)

Employees receive nine paid holidays and 20 days of paid time off that accrue annually. The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $155,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
