Job DescriptionThis position may be filled as an Engineering Technologist I or one level higher as an Engineering Technologist II depending on the selected candidate's experience. The Engineering Technologist I is the first level of the non‑Engineer degreed technical support. The Engineering Technologist II is the second level of the non‑Engineer degreed technical support role.
Responsibilities- Applies technical expertise in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise.
- Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.
- Applies beginner level knowledge in preparing thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches.
- Conducts engineering and related studies.
- Strives to continually improve job‑related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance.
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintains accurate records and files.
- Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
- Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with no experience, or 2+ years equivalent industry experience without a degree.
- Graduate from a college or university with Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Or 2+ years of experience and Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Or 4+ years equivalent experience without a degree.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio‑economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Understanding of basic principles of project management.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in the utility industry.

- Working Conditions:
Hybrid Mobility Classification;
Travel Requirements 5‑15%.
