Salary

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93,750.03 - $ per year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform site surveys evaluating current electrical and mechanical conditions and create a design to upgrade, replace, or install new electrical infrastructures from utility and generator inputs to a data room floor distribution based on customer requirements.
  • Use modern project management tools and techniques to design and execute projects related to the engineering, procurement, and construction of electrical power system modifications.
  • Lead modernization projects related to electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution with specific focus on critical power systems.
  • Deliver projects with a high degree of professionalism and safety, using knowledge of industrial and utility power distribution equipment, power system engineering, critical power systems, and construction safety.
  • Have full responsibility for assigned projects and authority to complete them from inception to scope development, planning, execution, managing people and resources.
  • Have the discipline to create clear and achievable cost, quality, and schedule objectives and follow these objectives to successful completion.
  • Provide technical leadership to the district sales & service teams.
  • Manage and direct a team on awarded projects for electrical equipment, including working knowledge of electrical system design & installation. Equipment includes: transformers, switch gear, switchboards, distribution systems, data floors, power distribution units, UPS, motor control centers, automatic transfer switches, generators, rotating equipment and AC drives.
  • Manage & maintain all assigned projects, take ownership and responsibility for meeting customer expectations according to all contract requirements.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage change orders between customer and Eaton.
  • Manage and communicate the scope of work & responsibilities between Eaton’s customers, employees, and suppliers/sub-contractors.
Additional Information The Project Manager Essential Functions
  • Manage & maintain the mission critical contracts between Eaton and its customers.
  • Estimate, prepare, submit and manage change orders between customer and Eaton.
  • Communicate the scope of work & responsibilities between Eaton’s customers, employees, and suppliers/sub-contractors.
  • Establish, manage contracts between Eaton and its vendors & subcontractors.
  • Plan, establish, maintain and update a project schedule on assigned projects.
  • Manage communication and distribute documentation between Eaton and its customers.
  • Monitor, report, and control costs on assigned projects within estimated margin.
  • Report, forecast, and present project financial activity to Eaton’s management.
  • Prepare, distribute, and follow through with project safety plan.
  • Develop accident prevention plans, QC plans, environmental plans & mobilization plans.
  • Responsible for financial performance of project including profitability, revenue and cash flow.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with focus on project management, construction management, or engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing electrical projects.
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
  • Ability to travel within the US and outside of the US without restrictions.
  • Ability to gain access to military and government sites.
  • Candidates must reside in one of the listed states: FL, GA, SC, NC, AL, TN, KY, VA, DE, NJ, RI, CT, MA, ME, NH.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Construction.
  • Retired military.
  • Efficient with Primavera and/or MS Project.
  • Project Management Professional.
  • Knowledge of data center construction.
  • Working knowledge of packaged equipment solutions.
