Senior Bridge Project Engineer

About The Role

Senior Bridge Project Engineer focused on Bridge Design and Analysis. Based in our New York office, your role will involve producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. You will collaborate with project managers, conduct research, develop calculations, apply engineering techniques and design criteria for complex, cross‑discipline projects, and mentor junior staff when needed.

• Use senior‑level technical expertise to consider a broad range of engineering solutions.
• Plan, distribute work and lead within your discipline, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget for complex projects.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort, and manage adherence to scope and budget.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of the project team’s work within the technical discipline.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve overall project objectives.
• Coordinate technical aspects of the project with client counterparts and teaming partners at staff level.
• Lead discipline delivery on larger, multi‑disciplinary projects and work closely with other disciplines.
• Assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours and work distribution for other disciplines on multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent technical knowledge and ability to deliver high‑quality work on time and within budget.
• Strong prioritization and accountability to project team.
• Visionary thinking, anticipating risks and impacts.
• Understanding of cross‑discipline project influence.
• Innovative mindset to improve project efficiencies.
• Proficiency in identifying problems, developing solutions, and making effective decisions.

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
