Job Description

Observes and operates all outside utilities distribution systems, turbine room switch gear, water conditioning equipment, and more as described below.

• Under the supervision of the Watch Engineer, observe and operate outside utilities distribution systems and auxiliary equipment to provide services to all sections.
• Operate and monitor turbo‑generators, associated auxiliary equipment, turbine room switch gear.
• Operate water conditioning equipment (reverse osmosis, deionizers, polishers, filters, U.V., ozone, site process cooling water). Test, treat, and adjust heater, boilers, cooling towers, DI water, RO water for proper chemistry.
• Operate 900#, 135# steam boilers, steam turbines, and auxiliaries under the supervision of the Watch Engineer.
• Work from verbal and written instructions and standard operating procedures; exchange operating information with previous and relieving shifts.
• Train personnel assigned for qualification or advancement.
• Practice proper cGMP and documentation requirements.

• NJ Blue Seal (1‑C) 3rd Class Engineer License or Higher

• High School Diploma or GED.
• New Jersey Blue Seal 3rd Class Engineers (1‑C) license.
• Previous power‑plant operating experience.
• Ability, fitness, and skill to perform duties.

• 8‑hour rotating shift schedule: 6 AM–2 PM, 2 PM–10 PM, 10 PM–6 AM.

Range: $39.72 to $49.90 per hour.
