** EFI Global, an industry leader in forensic engineering and consulting, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and a strong background in vehicle accident reconstruction. VAR (Vehicle Accident Reconstruction) certification is highly desirable.

PURPOSE:

To investigate accident sites, vehicles, and equipment, researching, documenting evidence and determine damage, and provide clients with expert opinions.## ## ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES* ## Conducts investigations of vehicles, equipment, and accident sites to document the evidence and determine the scope of damage.* ## Investigates and assesses damages due to failures and determines the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support.
* ## Researches, evaluates, analyzes and tests the causation of accidents and failures.* ## Collaborates with other engineering disciplines to produce detailed reports outlining the cause of the accident.* ## Serves as an expert witness in court and/or in depositions.* ## Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense basis for failure analysis and engineering projects for clients.* ## Collaborates with EFI's national team of forensic experts to leverage experiences and assist on projects.##

## ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES* ## Performs other duties as assigned.* ## Travels as required.## ## QUALIFICATIONS## ## Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
