Maintenance Scheduler​/Planner - I&E

The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC), a large publicly-owned wastewater treatment facility located in Newark, New Jersey, is currently seeking a Maintenance Scheduler / Planner. Created in 1902, PVSC is the 5th largest facility of its kind in the United States, directly serving approximately 1.5 million residents in 48 municipalities located in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union Counties. The 140-acre plant is designed to treat an average of 330 million gallons per day (‘mgd”) of wastewater with an annual average flow of approximately 241 mgd.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Scheduler/Planner is responsible for the oversight and effective execution of the work control processes involved in the installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, as well as other instrumentation and electrical systems utilized in the wastewater field. Will plan long range SCADA, instrumentation, and electrical projects, schedule and inspect work performed by SCADA technicians and electricians, provide technical assistance to PVSC engineers with regards to SCADA, instrumentation and electrical systems, and diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.

The Scheduler/Planner will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and preparing concise written reports regarding the status of projects, and for assisting PVSC engineers with the inspection and managing of contract work related to SCADA, instrumentation and electrical systems.
