This position follows a hybrid work model, with working 3 days in the Newark, NJ office and 2 days remote.

What you can expect

Manage the full lifecycle of residential mortgage whole loan transactions, from trade confirmation through funding and trailing documents.

Review and validate trade confirmations, prepare trade allocation recommendations, and funding schedules to ensure alignment with executed terms.

Coordinate with sellers, originators, servicers, trustees, custodians, bailees, internal investment teams, and legal to facilitate timely and accurate closings.

Track and resolve trade breaks, funding discrepancies, settlement issues and trailing documents.

Ensure compliance with transaction‑specific requirements, closing timelines, and operational controls.

Oversee bailee arrangements, including bailee letters, collateral certification, interim collateral control, and release upon custodial delivery.

Track, review, and reconcile collateral packages (notes, mortgages, assignments, allonges, title policies, etc.).

Manage trailing document pipelines, including follow‑ups, exception tracking, aging analysis, and resolution.

Partner with custodians and other vendors to ensure timely final certification.

Maintain accurate documentation status across internal systems and reporting tools.

Support onboarding of loans to servicers and loan management platforms.

Perform oversight of monthly remittance and cash flow reconciliations across principal, interest, fees, and advances.

Assess whether loans qualify as early payoffs or early payment defaults and process repurchase or indemnity payments from sellers.

Validate servicer reporting against expected cash flow models and deal terms.

Identify, investigate, and resolve cash flow discrepancies and servicing exceptions.

Review and validate loan‑level data at acquisition and throughout the loan lifecycle.

Reconcile data across front‑office models (e.g., Aladdin), accounting systems, servicing platforms, custodians, and deal tapes.

Perform QA on periodic data extracts and investor reporting.

Support audit requests, regulatory reporting, and internal controls testing.

Maintain detailed documentation of processes, workflows, and operational controls.
