Regulatory Capital & RWA Analyst – Major Financial Institution
A leading global bank is seeking an experienced regulatory capital professional to join its Capital Analytics team. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) calculation and reporting under U.S. Basel requirements.
Responsibilities- Calculate quarterly capital ratios and RWA for credit and market risk across the Bank Holding Company
- Support Basel III Endgame readiness, SA-CCR implementation, and CCAR processes
- Partner with IT on calculation engine automation, including requirements gathering and UAT
- Interpret regulatory rule changes and assess impact on capital calculations and new products
- Maintain EUC procedures, financial controls, and exception monitoring
- Identify and drive process improvement, automation, and governance enhancements
- 8+ years of experience in regulatory capital / RWA within a bank or financial institution
- Direct RWA calculation experience required;
Basel framework knowledge essential - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with calculation engine platforms a plus
- Strong project management and cross‑functional stakeholder skills
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a regulated environment
