Financial Controller – Manufacturing

Location:

Newark, NJ. Compensation: $120,000‑$135,000 plus bonus.

• Own the full accounting function with true end‑to‑end accountability and visibility.
• Be the financial backbone for leadership, providing insights that directly inform strategy and growth.
• Lead and develop an accounting team, strengthening your people leadership and succession‑building experience.
• Operate in a manufacturing environment where strong controls and operational finance really matter.
• Work with modern finance tools (SAP B1, Data Rails, advanced Excel) to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
• Play a central role in cash management and working capital decisions that impact the business daily.
• Drive process improvements and best practices, leaving a lasting operational footprint.

• Lead month‑, quarter‑, and year‑end close and ensure GAAP‑compliant financial reporting.
• Oversee AP, AR, general ledger, payroll coordination, and cash positioning.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Manage, mentor, and evaluate the accounting team.

• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in manufacturing.
• 5+ years in a people management or leadership role.
• Deep expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• SAP Business One (SAP B1) experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills;
  Data Rails experience a strong plus.
