TalentoHC is partnering with a leading law firm seeking a Senior Billing Coordinator to join its Finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing complex billing operations, managing the full billing lifecycle, and serving as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, and the Finance department. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in legal billing and collections and a proven ability to drive accuracy, compliance, and cash flow efficiency in a fast‑paced legal environment.
This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with attorneys and firm leadership while contributing to process improvements and strategic billing initiatives that support the firm’s long‑term financial health.
- Serve as the primary billing contact for complex accounts, coordinating all aspects of the billing lifecycle including prebill review, revisions, invoice generation, posting, and documentation management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders to support effective billing operations and client service
- Partner with attorneys to develop and execute billing and collections strategies, proactively identifying and resolving billing issues
- Analyze firm financial reports and billing data to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and enhance overall billing efficiency
- Maintain accurate client and matter data including rates, budgets, and billing instructions; support attorneys in developing and monitoring matter budgets
- Ensure all billing activities comply with firm policies, client guidelines, and ethical standards
- Prepare and deliver routine and ad hoc reports to support decision‑making by attorneys and firm leadership
- Collaborate with the Billing Manager and Finance team on accounting operations, special projects, and year‑end closing activities
- 3–5 years of law firm billing experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and legal accounting systems;
Aderant and Intapp preferred - Experience with iManage, Litera, or Best Authority a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build internal and external relationships
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion when managing complex financial and client matters
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
$90,000- $105,000 USD
