Job Summary
VP of Tax – senior level management position in Prudential’s Corporate Tax Department. Requires a leader with strong accounting skills, deep understanding of financial statements, and a hands‑on approach to reconciliations, financial analysis, and problem‑solving. The role focuses on tax compliance, forecasting, financial reporting, and supporting the organization’s global tax strategy.
Responsibilities- Tax compliance, forecasting, and financial reporting for Prudential’s non‑insurance business units.
- Compilation and consolidation of the Prudential U.S. tax return.
- Coordination of cash‑flow forecast and administration of Tax Sharing Agreement.
- Pillar2 tax reporting and Country‑by‑Country reporting for the global enterprise.
- Complex modeling including IRS tax audit calculations, consolidated tax liability, M&A, and corporate restructurings.
- Partnering on tax planning and implementation, including transfer pricing, foreign tax credit, GILTI/NCTI, and Pillar2 requirements.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with internal business‑unit partners to ensure tax is integrated into business decisions.
- Supporting legislative and regulatory activities.
- Coordination of co‑sourced compliance and financial reporting with outside Big4 preparer.
- Developing and making presentations to senior tax and business personnel.
- Tax risk management.
- Management of staff of tax professionals.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline (required).
- Strong technical tax accounting knowledge; CPA, MBA, or Master’s degree in tax or accounting a plus.
- Relevant corporate tax experience (12+ years) with demonstrated progression in scope; experience from Big4 or multinational corporations preferred.
- Financial analysis and reconciliation skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Proven leadership track record in managing and developing staff.
- Organized and flexible—ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
