Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board, the next CFO of Twin Lakes Community will have primary responsibility for managing the financial affairs of TLC, including its finance, treasury, banking, accounting, auditing, budgeting and financial reporting activities. In addition, the CFO manages the purchasing department for the organization. A focus on mission and on the future of TLC and senior living, as well as the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, and align financial goals with strategy are essential attributes of the next CFO.

The CFO must have strong strategic and operational acumen along with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with residents, colleagues and business partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for financial accounts of the Corporation; its deeds and other title papers, mortgages, contacts, trust and endowment funds and legacies, personal and real properties, and evidences of revenues and obligations of the Corporation.
  • Responsible for receiving and reporting all monies, income and interest from investments, gifts, bequests and funds of the Corporation and deposit them in the same name as the Corporation.
  • Responsible for all disbursements of funds.
  • Responsible for all investments.
  • Make financial reports to the Board of Directors at the first meeting of the calendar year and at such other times, as the Board shall direct including full statement of receipts and disbursement and all monies on hand.
  • Review, acquire and maintain adequate property and liability insurance coverages for all property, equipment and operations of the Corporation. Also, in consultation with senior management review, acquire and maintain employee oriented coverage; i.e. Workers Compensation, health, life, disability, etc.
  • Accountable for all accounting and financial records management. Insure compliance with all Local, State and Federal laws and regulations and documentation of same.
  • Responsible for overseeing the production and filing of financial, compliance and regulatory reports relevant to the operation.
  • Network with other organizations to develop “Best Practices”, attend conferences and seminars and be knowledgeable of laws and regulations relevant to the operations of the Corporation. May be called upon to represent the organization at public events.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources related laws, regulations and practices.
  • Responsible for Employee benefits, including the management of health care and retirement plans.
  • Knowledge of current health care sector environment and trends.
  • Knowledge of electronic healthcare record system.
  • Provide input for planning, programming, expansion, public relations, marketing, advertising, etc.
  • Responsible for coordination and consultation with all divisions and departments to insure the efficient and consistent operation of the entire campus.
