Are you interested in applying your love of capital markets, data analysis, and investments to inform business strategy and collaborate with diverse teams on challenging projects? This internship focuses on developing technical and professional skills while working with leaders in the investment community. The CIO Internship is a collaborative, results-driven program with access to Prudential’s assets and investment activities.
About the CIO and InternshipThe Chief Investment Office (CIO) is a strategic partner across Prudential, managing asset/liability risk, interest rate risk, investment margin performance, and hedge activities. The CIO oversees the General Accounts through the Alternative Assets Group and Global Hedge Management, within Prudential Select Strategies LLC (an SEC-registered investment adviser), and its U.S. and International Portfolio groups. Prudential’s CIO supports multiple departments with macro and micro solutions for investment challenges and has over $400 billion in assets under management.
InternshipSummary
We seek motivated interns for a roughly 10-week program designed to deliver impactful projects and professional growth. This program can lead to a return internship or a transition to a full-time role upon successful completion. The timeline below is current for planning purposes.
- Program Dates: June 7, 2027 – August 13, 2027
- Final date to receive applications: August 14, 2026 (rolling reviews; close earlier based on volume or role availability)
- You may apply for up to three roles per recruiting season.
You will contribute meaningfully to organizational initiatives and help drive change. Placement within the CIO will be in one of the following areas:
- Alternative Assets Team – Prudential Select Strategies LLC (PSS): manages a diversified portfolio of fund investments to maximize risk-adjusted return. Includes Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Assets, Manager of Managers, Operational Due Diligence, and Risk Management.
- Global Hedge Management (GHM): provides hedging solutions and trade execution; supports cross-currency investment activity for the general account; responsibilities include execution, hedge strategy development, marketing & production development, and managerial analytics.
- U.S. Portfolio Management (USPM): manages Prudential’s U.S. investment portfolios, develops ALM-oriented strategies, and oversees asset managers with expertise across asset classes.
- International Portfolio Management (IPM): manages international investment portfolios with ALM-oriented strategies and oversees asset managers with expertise across asset classes.
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program with graduation between December 2027 and May 2028. Preferred majors include mathematics, engineering, economics, computer science, finance, actuarial sciences, or a similar quantitative field. The minimum GPA is 3.2. Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position; US employment authorization is required.

Pay range for this role is $32.00 to $35.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and skills. Roles may be eligible for additional compensation and benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program depends on program rules and performance.
