This role reports into the Director of Finance and involves close working with other members of the finance team across the Group. Acting as the Finance Business Partner for selected Key Global Customer Accounts, this role involves building close working relationships with members of the Operations and Sales teams and customers in order to understand activities, opportunities and challenges across the business and provide financial insight to help decision making.
Main Responsibilities:- Work with Operations teams to track and report on monthly project revenues and costs, using this information to book month end cost and revenue accruals and produce detailed analysis to gross margin level by customer and project.
- Manage month end close for the US entity including calculation and posting of payroll and overhead cost accruals and prepayments and overall review of balance sheet and P&L for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor accrued revenue and track conversion of accruals to invoiced revenue, following up on any old accruals.
- Work with the Finance Transactions Team to identify and help to resolve issues with debtor payment collection.
- Identify and understand gross margin variances on activities and work with Operations and Sales teams to implement improvements.
- Support on bids/costing exercises including development of business case documents for significant new opportunities.
- Drive revenue forecasting and financial planning for key customer accounts and challenge assumptions to ensure accuracy of final forecasts produced.
- Attend departmental meetings and present and explain financial data including forecasts, monthly results and variances.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Main contact for audit and tax advisors in USA and overall responsible for US year-end reporting.
- Manage the US credit card and control expenditure; check and approve US bank payments.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance where necessary.
- Review bi-weekly payroll data for accuracy before submissionand partner with the People team to manage compliance and governance over all aspects of payroll, 401K and healthcare.
- Provide support to Group Finance where needed.
Qualifications:
- The candidate should be a qualified accountant with 5-6 year’s experience working in a multi-national environment.
- Full understanding of taxation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience of working with Financial software packages.
- High level of Computer literacy.
This role is envisaged to be a Hybrid Working role with occasional travel to the UK or Denver. Ideally candidates will be based on the East Coast or alternatively Denver.
