Year Up United seeks an Entry Level Financial Advisor to join our Financial Planning and Advisory team within the Banking, Insurance & Investment space. In this role, you'll support client financial assessments, create basic financial plans, assist with budgeting, savings, and investment education, and help prepare presentations and reports. You will collaborate with senior advisors, use data to inform recommendations, and contribute to inclusive, mission-driven services that empower diverse young adults toward economic mobility and long-term financial well-being.
Responsibilities- Conduct introductory financial assessments with program participants and early-career clients
- Gather and analyze basic client financial information (income, expenses, debt, savings)
- Develop and update simple financial plans under the supervision of senior advisors
- Educate clients on budgeting, saving, credit management, and introductory investing concepts
- Support and co-facilitate financial literacy workshops and group presentations
- Provide one-on-one financial coaching sessions with clear, accessible guidance
- Document client interactions and maintain accurate records in CRM or tracking systems
- Collaborate with Program Managers and educators to align financial coaching with program goals
- Assist in evaluating and improving financial education materials and tools
- Adhere to all compliance, ethical, and confidentiality standards in banking, insurance, and investment contexts
