WhatYou Will Do
PGIM Custom Harvest is launching a fixed income SMA platform and is seeking a Senior Fixed Income Trader to help build and lead this new capability. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end accountability. You will be responsible for trading and managing individual client fixed income portfolios, establishing trading processes, and contributing to the growth of the fixed income SMA business.
WhatYou Can Expect
- Execute trades across a range of fixed income securities (U.S. Treasuries, agencies, investment-grade corporates, and other relevant sectors) for individual client SMA accounts
- Manage day-to-day portfolio activity, including cash flows, position adjustments, and ongoing risk monitoring
- Develop and refine trading processes, workflows, and dealer relationships
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, operations, compliance, and technology partners
- Maintain a strong focus on best execution, risk management, and fiduciary standards
- Support the scaling of the fixed income SMA business over time
- 7-10 years of fixed income trading experience with a minimum of 3-5 years within an SMA, managed accounts, wealth management, or institutional fixed income platform.
- Proficiency with industry platforms and tools (Bloomberg, Tradeweb, Market Axess, etc.)
- CFA designation is a plus
- Series 7 and Series 63 (or Series 66) preferred; willingness to obtain if required
- Ability to build processes, relationships, and infrastructure in a developing business environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working across teams and with external counter parties
- Disciplined approach to risk management with a clear client-first mindset
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $170,000 to $230,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
