Department: Radiology
Location: Newark Wayne Community Hospital
Hours Per Week: Flexible, As Needed
Schedule: Monday - Sunday, As Needed to help cover days, evenings, and overnight shift

As a CT Technologist, your ability to empathize with patients, specialized technical skills, and dedication to quality, greatly enhances the overall success of imaging and the department as a whole.

• Patient Care - Responsible for radiography of patients, including CT scans and Interventional CT guided procedures; provide on‑call coverage for CT section of Radiology; follow up on patient care issues/needs.
• Documentation - Maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and procedures; document performance of studies in patient charts.
• Daily Maintenance - Assist with day‑to‑day supervision of the CT team; clean, restock and prepare rooms.

• Two‑year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology (or) must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT‑R) within six months of employment.
• Effective 7/16/2018 - NYS Injection Certification within six months of employment.

• Prior Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work in various software applications preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills preferred.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
