Job Description
Responsible for preparing patients and assisting physicians with cardiac catheterization procedures such as coronary angiograms, angioplasty, and stents. Integrates with physicians and nurses, and has responsibility for emergency call.
Principal AccountabilitiesMinimum Education:
- Graduate of an Accredited CVT School with RCIS certification (or obtaining within 1‑year of hire) OR licensed Radiology Technologist.
- Radiology Technologists will be provided a six month training and support.
- To provide a safe environment for our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 1‑2 years previous Cath Lab experience preferred.
License/Certification:
- RCIS/RCVT experience required OR licensed Radiology Technologist.
- BLS required:
Obtain ACLS within one year. - Adheres to on‑call policy requirements and responds appropriately to emergency calls per unit policy.
