Phlebotomist

A Certified Phlebotomist role is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Science. In this position, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from pediatric patients.

** Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm with every other weekend and alternating holidays

** Pay Range** : $20.00-$22.00/hr.

** Responsibilities:*
* - Collecting blood specimens from patients

- Processing computerized worksheets

- Entering orders for laboratory tests into the computer terminal and retrieving data in response to inquiries from clinical units concerning test results

- Performs routine venous phlebotomy procedures for diagnostic testing for various laboratory sections including, but not limited to blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and coagulation tests

** Education/

Qualification:

* - High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

- Successful completion of a phlebotomy course given by an academically recognized school of health-related professions is required.

- Certified by ASCP, NCA or equivalent agency; or eligibility to sit for the certification examination. Candidate must obtain the certification within one (1) year of employment if hired.

- Minimum of at least 2-years' phlebotomy experience.
