Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Dennis DiGiacomo MD LLC an internal medical practice in Newark NJ is looking for a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. the ideal candidate will be experienced in vascular and general ultrasound, performing and analyzing various ultrasound exams.

• Vascular Sonography
  • Carotid Ultrasound
  • Lower Extremity Arterial Doppler
  • Renal Artery Doppler
  • Abdominal Aorta Ultrasound
  • Venous Doppler of Lower Extremities
• General Ultrasound
  • Abdominal Ultrasound
  • Pelvic Ultrasound
• Patient Care
  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound exams
  • Explain procedures to patients
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety
• Image Acquisition and Analysis
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture clear images
  • Analyze images and provide preliminary findings
  • Report findings to physicians
• Documentation and Reporting
  • Keep accurate records of patient history and sonographic findings
  • Maintain patient records and equipment logs
• Equipment Maintenance
  • Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment
  • Report any equipment issues

• Education:
  
  Associate's degree or certificate in diagnostic medical sonography.
• Certification: ARDMS certification or equivalent
• Experience:
  
  Experience in vascular ultrasound. General a plus.
• Skills:
  
  Proficient in using ultrasound equipment, attention to detail, excellent communication.
