Job Overview:

As a Telemetry Technician, you will Provides physicians and nurses with data for use in the diagnosis and the planning of interventions related to cardiac conditions

Qualifications:

Required:

* High School Graduate

* Completion of dysrhythmia course during orientation.

* Enrolled in an Accredited Nursing program helpful

* REQUIREMENTS

* 12 Lead ECG competency

* Previous clinical/patient care experience

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

* Part-time

Essential Functions:

* Conducts cardiac monitoring on adolescent to geriatric patients, including application of monitors, rhythm interpretation, and performance of 12 lead EKG

* Participates in hospital quality improvement activities

* Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to determine each patient's age-specific needs and provide age specific treatment
