Provide emotional support, crisis intervention and counseling; information and referral; referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families with problems related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma. Provide case management & milieu management, complete psychosocial assessments, assist in the development and re‑evaluation of Treatment Plans, work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and coordinate discharge planning. Complete necessary documentation and maintain a clinical record for each client during his/her length of stay.
QualificationsEducation, Experience, Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or another related field.
- Current registration as an intern with the Board, as appropriate to education and licensing requirements.
- Behavior Violence Prevention certification within 3 months of hire and maintain current annually.
- Minimum one (1) year inpatient or outpatient behavioral health experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.
- Master’s in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or related field – preferred.
Saint Michaels Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $26.21 to $30.92. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering factors such as skill set, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
