We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for a 56-year-old patient with developmental disabilities and ventilator support needs. He resides with his elderly mother, who is an integral part of the care team. This role offers the chance to build a personal connection with your patient while using your nursing skills to improve their quality of life.
YourResponsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care following established care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess the patient’s health, including vital signs and respiratory status.
- Provide mobility support and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing and grooming.
- Collaborate with the patient’s family and healthcare team to create and implement personalized care plans.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of care provided.
- Licensed Professional: Current LPN licensure in New Jersey.
- Experienced Caregiver: At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ventilation Expertise: Experience caring for ventilator or respiratory patients.
- Compassionate Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Patient-Centered: A genuine passion for improving the lives of others.
