Trustpoint is excited to partner with a growing legal services organization in its search for a Claims Investigator to join its Newark, NJ office. This direct hire opportunity is open recent graduates with strong data entry and data management experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with large amounts of information, and interested in developing a career in claims investigation and case management.
Experience working with medical data or records is highly preferred but not required. This is a fully onsite position offering a collaborative team environment, strong bonus potential, and excellent benefits.
- Interview claimants and gather information related to claims and case matters
- Collect, enter, organize, and maintain large amounts of case and claimant information
- Review medical records and other documentation and accurately enter relevant information into case management systems
- Prepare and maintain detailed case notes and records
- Track case activity, follow-ups, appointments, and outstanding information
- Communicate with claimants, adjusters, defense counsel, medical providers, court personnel, and other parties as needed
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and follow-up activities
- Provide regular updates to supervisors regarding case status and outstanding issues
- Conduct research and gather information needed to support claim investigations
- Assist with case management and other investigative responsibilities as assigned
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Associate degree preferred
- Experience with data entry, data management, or working with large volumes of information
- Experience working with medical data, medical records, healthcare information, or injury-related documentation is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time
