** Patient Greeter
** for a Cancer Center in Newark, NJ. This role is ideal for a friendly, professional, and service-oriented individual who enjoys helping patients and visitors navigate a healthcare environment.
The Patient Greeter will serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors, provide directions and way finding assistance, help address concerns, and support a safe, positive, and patient-centered environment.

** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
* + Greet patients, families, and visitors entering the Cancer Center in a friendly and professional manner.
+ Provide directions and assist patients and visitors with navigating the Cancer Center and surrounding hospital areas.
+ Help individuals who may need additional assistance with mobility, language, accessibility, or other needs.
+ Maintain a calm, welcoming, and solution-oriented approach, particularly during busy or challenging situations.
+ Assist with problem-solving and escalate concerns to appropriate hospital staff when necessary.
+ Monitor wheelchair availability and placement throughout designated Cancer Center areas and report shortages or equipment concerns.
+ Monitor the appearance and general condition of public-facing areas, including entrances, lobbies, and common spaces.
+ Communicate with hospital support services regarding cleanliness, safety, and environmental concerns.
+ Demonstrate excellent customer service and contribute to a positive patient and family experience.
+ Work collaboratively with hospital staff and multidisciplinary teams.
+ Protect patient confidentiality and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
+ Follow University Hospital policies, procedures, compliance standards, and patient rights requirements.
+ Maintain professionalism and composure in a busy healthcare setting.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.

+ Ability to provide clear directions and assistance to patients and visitors.

+ Commitment to patient confidentiality and professionalism.
+ Previous healthcare, hospital, customer service, hospitality, or front-desk experience is preferred.
** Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
