Lobby Attendant

We are hiring immediately for full‑time LOBBY ATTENDANT positions at UA Newark Polaris – United Polaris Lounge, Newark, NJ 07114. Applications are accepted online only. Full‑time schedule with hours that may vary, including weekends and holidays. Fixed pay rate: $23.65 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available.

Responsible for establishing a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere for all clients, recruits, customers and employees. The lobby attendant will assist visitors and patients in finding their way around the hospital, coordinate transportation, and act as a liaison to the hospital staff.

• Welcomes and acknowledges all guests.
• Anticipates and addresses guests’ needs.
• Assists guests with all service matters including concierge requests.
• Escorts high‑touch clients to their meeting destinations.
• Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships and supports the team to reach common goals.
• Ensures front desk work area is kept clean and orderly at all times.
• Provides a professional, efficient arrival and departure experience for guests, creating a memorable visit.
• Acts as first point of contact for all activities and emergencies in the lobby, remaining alert at all times; takes ownership of challenges and follows escalation procedures as required.
• Reviews and completes checklist throughout the day and coordinates additional assignments with the manager.
• Uses designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal cleanliness according to OSHA regulations and property requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Experience in a client service or reception position.
• Phone and computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
• Ability to navigate to/from various locations throughout the facility.
• Ability to multi‑task and work at a fast pace.
• Physical ability to withstand frequent to prolonged walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and transferring patients.
• MAY be required to complete and successfully pass a company‑provided CPR or BLS class.

Exposure to elevated temperatures, high heat, noise, dust, dirt and/or areas requiring infection control. Must meet daily deadlines and be available to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary to maintain the facility at an appropriate and safe level.
