LHH is seeking an Executive Recruiter to join our traditional (not software)
Engineering Practice Area, serving the Northern & Central New Jersey Markets. This position is a hybrid opportunity, working on-site 3x a week and remote 2x a week. Onsite will be 1-2 days in Holmdel, NJ and one day in Rochelle Park, NJ. We specialize in connecting top-tier classic engineering professionals with organizations in Northern & Central New Jersey. This role blends full-cycle recruiting with client engagement, focusing on direct hire placements in the engineering sector.
We understand that every job opening is more than a role to fill, and every candidate is more than a resume. Our recruiters work closely with both clients and candidates to ensure the right fit that drives business success.
Responsibilities:- Execute full-cycle recruiting for mid- to senior-level traditional engineering positions.
- Partner with clients to define hiring needs and develop tailored recruiting strategies.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Conduct resume screening, behavioral interviews, and competency-based evaluations.
- Negotiate fee agreements and manage placement documentation.
- Maintain subject matter expertise on engineering industry trends, roles, and talent needs.
- Administer job postings and track candidate data in internal systems.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both active and passive candidates.
- Participate in client site visits to better understand organizational goals and culture.
- Ensure compliance with hiring and onboarding processes.
- Mentor and support junior team members as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience recruiting mid- to senior-level professionals in the traditional engineering sector or relevant industry experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and service.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
- Ability to build and maintain professional networks and industry relationships.
- Demonstrated business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong understanding of KPIs
