Senior Human Resources Manager (Strategic HR Business Partner)

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to assigned client groups; consult on employee relations, performance management, recruiting/workforce planning, career development, and salary planning.
  • Support recruiting with sourcing, job fairs, diversity outreach, interviewing, and accurate recordkeeping in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Implement, lead, and facilitate HR initiatives and projects.
  • Facilitate training on employee development, coaching, and management topics.
  • Assist Benefits Manager with disability and FMLA communications; advise on benefits (eligibility, status changes, COBRA, leaves of absence, open enrollment).
  • Manage the annual performance management process.
  • Mediate employee concerns; lead/conduct investigations and facilitate corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements including affirmative Action Plan and annual reporting (EEO-1, VETS-4212).
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
  • Partner with Immigration Paralegal on work visa filings for employee sponsor ships.
  • Handle unemployment claims and represent the company at unemployment hearings.
  • Work closely with Payroll to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Education:

    BA/BS in Human Resources or related field (Required); MS/MA in Human Resources or related field (Preferred).
  • Experience:

    10+ years progressive HR experience; 5+ years in manufacturing strongly preferred (pharmaceutical experience a plus).
  • Knowledge/

    Skills:

    state and federal employment laws; HR best practices; experience administering employee benefits and HR programs.
  • Licenses: SPHR preferred.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
  • Base salary: $150,000-$160,000/year; short-term incentive/bonus or performance-based award within first 12 months; comprehensive health/insurance benefits and 401(k) matching.
