Position SummaryThe Technical Support Representative provides high‑quality technical assistance to customers by answering product inquiries, managing return authorizations, evaluating and repairing returned products, and delivering on‑site technical support when needed. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical professional with experience in entertainment lighting and a strong customer service mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical product support to customers via phone and email
- Issue, process, and manage Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs)
- Prepare repair quotations and support the repair process for returned products
- Diagnose, evaluate, and repair products returned for service
- Maintain and update a knowledge base of product issues and resolutions
- Perform on‑site installation, troubleshooting, and technical support as needed
- Occasional domestic and international travel required
- Complete special projects and ad hoc requests in a timely and positive manner
- Track and report monthly technical support metrics
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Familiarity with entertainment lighting technology, including lighting fixtures, moving lights, and lighting controllers
- Ability to troubleshoot both internally (bench-level) and externally (field-based)
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers, vendors, electricians, and technical entertainment professionals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Experience working as a Stage Electrician
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Technology, or equivalent professional experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on technical experience
