Job Summary

The Solutions Consultant Manager is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineer Manager role, aligning how we lead teams to best serve our customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks.

Your Career

As our Solutions Consultant Manager, you are the technical leader for your District Solutions Consulting team. You will work closely with the District Sales Manager to build relationships with customers and help them detect and prevent advanced cyber attacks and breaches. Your guidance and mentorship keep them ahead of cyber threats.

In the territory, you will guide and develop your team to define innovative technical solutions that secure customers' key business imperatives and maximize the value of their investment. You will champion our industry leadership, nurture talent within your team, and provide feedback to product management on new features.

Your Impact
  • Recruit and hire new Solutions Consultants.
  • Train, mentor and review team members.
  • Support the Solutions Consultant team in complex evaluations and problem‑solving.
  • Lead and coach the team on technical validation efforts.
  • Create and monitor individual development plans.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Success and Specialist teams to ensure customer implementation and adoption.
  • Provide technical leadership in customer interactions, sharing security trends and best practices.
  • Drive Palo Alto Networks Platformization efforts within your accounts.
  • Work with Domain Specialist Manager to align resources.
  • Act as an escalation point with pre‑sales and post‑sales teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers.
  • Present as an expert to customers at all levels.
  • Discuss competitor products and position ours as the best alternative.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing and R&D to build requirements and product features for large customers.
  • Travel 50‑75% within the region.
  • Partner with your sales counterpart to develop a technical strategy that accelerates growth.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a pre‑sales System Engineer Manager.
  • Experience as a Senior System Engineer/Specialist.
  • Industry knowledge of security product market trends and roadmap awareness.
  • Knowledge of delivering comprehensive security solutions to Palo Alto Networks customers.
  • Experience designing, implementing or managing solutions such as Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
  • Partnering with Customer Support for successful implementation and adoption.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Quota driven attitude focused on clients' best solution as a trusted advisor.
  • Proficient in English.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. The starting base salary for non‑sales roles is $224,000‑$308,000 per year, plus potential bonuses and restricted stock units.
