Lead Data Scientist

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced analytics professional with 5+ years of experience, who can handle the breadth of Patient Analytics and other Commercial Analytics projects, with analysis, design and tracking of activities and performance.

• Lead client communication, providing clients with periodic updates and insights/recommendations through appropriate channels (conference calls / emails).
• Proactively communicate internally and externally with senior stakeholders, ensuring timely handling of issues/concerns.
• Provide technical and business leadership/mentorship to junior team members.
• Leverage technologies such as R/Python, SQL, Databricks, and various statistical packages and datasets (SHS or IQVIA APLD claims, Hub, Specialty pharmacy, internal promotional datasets, CMS datasets, etc.) to deliver analytics projects.
• Deliver various types of analytics projects: data wrangling, AI/ML, reporting, tool building/automation, ad-hoc analytics, and complex business operations projects.
• Address advanced analytics problems such as patient adherence, market share analysis, HCP segmentation, sales force sizing, scenario building, and AI/ML applications.
• Create realistic and actionable metrics and KPI reports for marketing, brand, and digital operations managers.
• Collaborate with team members to innovate through automation and new ideas.

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech, MBA (optional) with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in pharma commercial analytics projects leveraging APLD claims data using Databricks, SQL, R/Python, Excel.
• Knowledge of statistics and ability to run AI/ML models such as regression, ensemble models, clustering in R/Python.
• Ability to identify opportunities for scalability and automation of ad-hoc analysis.
• Experience in pharmaceutical commercial analytics is a must.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Sales Force analytics, payer analytics, patient support, forecasting, or brand performance analytics.
