A Workday Integration Consultant with Studio experience is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting integrations between Workday and various third‑party systems, with a strong emphasis on complex integrations built using Workday Studio
.

This role requires a blend of functional Workday knowledge, technical integration skills, and strong client‑facing consulting abilities.

• Integration Design and Development:
  • Design, build, and support testing of the Workday integration codebase, utilizing tools such as Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs), and Core Connectors.
  • Develop complex custom integrations using Workday Studio for scenarios where EIBs or Core Connectors are insufficient, often involving XSLT (XML transformation), XML, and occasionally Java for data manipulation and logic.
  • Expertly utilize Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP APIs) to facilitate seamless data exchange with external systems.
• Consulting and Requirements Gathering:
  • Collaborate with clients and functional teams to gather, understand, and analyze detailed business requirements for integrations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on Workday integration best practices, architecture, and security.
  • Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems related to integrating Workday with external applications, covering a range of areas like HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Finance.
• Testing and Support:
  • Oversee and execute comprehensive integration testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution to ensure a smooth transition to go‑live.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing integrations, ensuring system reliability and optimal performance.
• Documentation and Compliance:
  • Create technical design documents for inbound and outbound integrations.
    
    Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance in all Workday integrations.

• Workday Expertise:
  Deep hands‑on experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Strong understanding and application of modern integration technologies like XML, XSLT, MVEL, and APIs.
• Workday Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of Workday security, business processes (especially HR and/or Finance), and data structures.
• Consulting
  
  Skills:
  
  Proven ability to work in a client‑facing role, managing project deliverables, escalating risks, and setting strategic direction.
• Problem‑Solving:
  Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem‑solving environment.
• Certifications:
  
  Workday Integration certification, often with a preference for Studio certification, is highly desirable.
