Job Description:
The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role within our Commercial Excellence or Omnichannel Engagement team, driving data-informed business strategies in the pharmaceutical domain. This role focuses on analysing complex datasets, gathering business requirements, and delivering actionable insights that optimize omnichannel engagement across HCPs, patients, and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of pharmaceutical commercial models, combined with experience in omnichannel marketing, including channels like email, rep-triggered campaigns, social, field force, and digital media. You will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, IT, and data teams to ensure business objectives are supported with the right data and analytics frameworks.
Responsibilities- Complete end to end understanding of Pharma commercial Sales and KPI Reporting in Power BI (must have). Knowledge of Pharma ETL, Data Pipelines, Data Modelling, Cloud (AWS/Azure/Big Query, Data Bricks)
- Business & Domain knowledge of Commercial Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Omnichannel, Sales Analytics, Web Analytics to tie it all back to Omni 360 Funnel engagement.
- Lead Omnichannel Reporting strategy across Web, Search, Social, Email, Media, and Field Force for multiple brands. Designed and implemented standard KPI frameworks aligned to brand objectives and customer journey stages.
- Translate business objectives into technical requirements for data and analytics teams to build appropriate dashboards, reports, and models. Built executive-ready dashboards enabling leadership to track performance, trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Analyse omnichannel campaign performance using data from CRM, marketing automation, and digital platforms to provide actionable insights.
- Developed recurring and ad hoc reports across digital and CRM channels with detailed reporting on campaign performance, reach, frequency, and conversion metrics.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to identify pain points and opportunities in the current customer journey and engagement strategies.
- Support the design and implementation of segmentation strategies for HCPs and patients, based on behaviour, preferences, and needs.
- Ensure that analytics solutions are aligned with pharmaceutical compliance, data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and promotional standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in data quality, business processes, and omnichannel execution metrics.
- Act as the bridge between business users and technical/data teams, ensuring mutual understanding and successful project outcomes.
- 6+ years of experience as a Omnichannel Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Proven experience with Omnichannel engagement strategies in pharma, including knowledge of touchpoints like Web, CRM, Email (RTE & HQE), Veeva (field force), Call Centers, and Digital Media. Strong knowledge in Omnichannel data sources and Omni 360 reporting.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales and marketing processes, including patient journeys, HCP engagement, and brand lifecycle.
- Experience with data analysis and familiarity with tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to interface with commercial, technical, and executive teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make strategic recommendations.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in pharma (e.g., promotional codes, data privacy, consent management).
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred.
- Experience working with Veeva CRM, Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of Customer Journey Mapping, Segmentation, and Cross-Channel Mapping techniques is highly desirable.
- Supported attribution and MMM efforts with clean, structured reporting datasets.
- Comfort working with enterprise data platforms
