SAP Consultant, IT Consultant

Travel 25-50% in USA as needed.
OverviewThe SAP Practice Leader is responsible for growing the SAP Consulting practice, providing strategic direction, delivery oversight, solution leadership, and business development support. This role combines deep SAP expertise with people leadership, client engagement, practice management, and revenue growth responsibilities. The Practice Leader partners with executive stakeholders, sales teams, and delivery organizations to ensure successful SAP transformation programs and continued practice expansion.
Must have had some SAP functional expertise in the past.
- Define and execute the SAP Practice strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing team of SAP consultants.
- Establish delivery standards, methodologies, and best practices across SAP engagements.
- Drive capability development and competency enhancement across SAP modules.
- Manage resource planning, utilization, revenue growth, and workforce growth initiatives.
- Oversee SAP implementation, migration, upgrade, and support projects.
- Contribute to SAP program and portfolio management.
- Ensure delivery quality, project governance, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Review the solution architectures and functional designs for alignment with business requirements.
- Resolve complex business process and integration challenges.
- Manage risk mitigation and issue escalation processes.
- Trusted advisor to executive stakeholders and client leadership.
- Lead SAP roadmap discussions, digital transformation initiatives, and business process optimization efforts.
- Conduct executive workshops and strategic planning sessions.
- Provide guidance on SAP S/4
HANA transformation programs and business process redesign.
- Support SAP sales pursuits, RFP responses, and proposal development.
- Participate in client presentations, solution demonstrations, and executive briefings.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion and new SAP service offerings.
- Develop business cases and value propositions for SAP transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to revenue growth and practice profitability targets.
- Monitor SAP product roadmap and emerging technologies.
- Drive adoption of SAP S/4
HANA, RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, Analytics, AI/Joule, Automation, and cloud solutions. - Create reusable accelerators, templates, and best practices.
- Represent the organization at industry events and SAP forums.
- 15-20 years of SAP consulting industry experience in mid‑to large consulting firms.
- 10-15 years of leadership experience managing SAP teams, including program management and practice management.
- Must have past SAP functional expertise in one of the SAP functional areas such as: SAP Finance (FI/CO) or SAP Supply Chain (MM, SD, PP, EWM).
- Experience leading large‑scale SAP S/4
HANA transformation programs. - Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience supporting pre‑sales and business development activities.
