Our client in Northern NJ is seeking a mid-level PM (5–7 years) who independently drives software product delivery in an AI-enabled SDLC
, owning project execution end-to-end while contributing to product discovery, release coordination, capacity planning, and continuous improvement. Strong execution ownership, cross-functional leadership, and comfort using AI tools to accelerate delivery are essential.

This position is hybrid onsite in northern NJ 3 days a week. Local candidates only/No relocation.
This role is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization (e.g., H-1B, OPT, CPT, etc.) or transfer. Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization

Role Scope
1. Project Delivery & Planning
  • Build and manage detailed project plans (dependencies, buffers, critical path).
  • Lead daily execution across one or more Agile teams.
  • Adapt plans as scope or priorities shift.
  • Maintain roadmap accuracy and Jira hygiene.
2. Risk, Scope & Resource Management
  • Own scope/change management with logs, impact communication, and trade-off facilitation.
  • Forecast capacity, coordinate shared resources, and manage cross-team dependencies.
  • Support release coordination across multiple work streams.
3. Backlog, Requirements & Metrics
  • Lead requirements workshops; write clear, testable user stories/specs.
  • Build dashboards and stakeholder-specific reporting views.
  • Use velocity, throughput, risk trends, and delivery health metrics to guide decisions.
4. Stakeholder Leadership & Communication
  • Manage diverse technical/product/business stakeholders independently.
  • Navigate conflicting priorities and drive alignment.
  • Provide crisp updates on progress, risks, and decisions.
  • Facilitate cross-team discussions and ensure follow-through.
  • Apply Agile practices consistently; tailor ceremonies to team maturity.
  • Facilitate retros, planning workshops, discovery sessions.
  • Organize learning sessions and improvement activities.
  • Coach teams on iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
6. AI-Enabled Delivery & Product Alignment
  • Use approved AI tools for planning, risk summaries, retros, and communication.
  • Critically evaluate AI outputs and refine when needed.
  • Share AI productivity use cases with teams.
  • Contribute to discovery/design reviews with delivery insights and user advocacy.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years in PM, Agile delivery, or software product environments.
  • Proven ownership of project plans, RAID, backlog health, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with release coordination, capacity planning, backlog ownership.
  • Familiarity with engineering/delivery/product metrics.
  • Experience using AI tools in enterprise delivery workflows.
  • Agile/Scrum/SAFe or product-related certification, SAFe, or product-related certification is a plus.
