Senior Looker Administrator - Looker SME

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Looker Administrator (Looker SME) with deep expertise in enterprise-scale analytics environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in stabilizing platform operations, supporting cloud migration initiatives, enabling API-driven AI use cases, and transferring knowledge to internal teams to build sustainable long-term capabilities. This role is critical to mitigating operational risk, delivery challenges, and platform instability during these transformations.

• Provide L3/L4 production support for Looker environments (Dev & Prod)
• Lead and validate platform upgrades, releases, and patching
• Manage and optimize LookML development lifecycle and Git Hub-based workflows
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance, query, and modeling issues
• Implement automated user provisioning and entitlement management
• Resolve access issues including azure AD group synchronization
• Establish and document governance frameworks and best practices
• Support and extend Looker APIs, including:
  Inline Queries, Query , Admin APIs
• Analyze and optimize performance, concurrency, and usage patterns
• Enable API-driven AI use cases, including dynamic SQL generation
• Define and execute test strategies for migration from customer-hosted to Google-hosted Looker
• Support POC execution with minimal business disruption
• Support Teradata to Snowflake migration validation via Looker

• 7+ years of experience in Analytics / BI Engineering
• 4+ years of hands-on Looker experience in enterprise environments
• Expert-level proficiency in:
• LookML development
• Looker Dev/Prod lifecycle management
• Git Hub-based CI/CD workflows
• Strong experience with Looker APIs (Inline Queries, SDKs, Admin APIs)
• Proven experience supporting platforms with 1,000+ users
• Solid understanding of identity and access management systems (Azure AD preferred)
