Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Analyst – Data & Metadata Management to lead metadata onboarding and domain activation efforts across business domains. In this role, you will help teams establish the foundational metadata, ownership, stewardship, and governance practices required for trusted data use across the enterprise.
You will facilitate workshops with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Product Owners, subject matter experts, and technology partners to define business glossaries, business process context, data asset scope, metadata requirements, and adoption plans. You will define and refine metadata standards, cataloging policies, stewardship operating procedures, adoption playbooks, and implementation guidance that support consistent enterprise adoption.
You will partner with business leadership and domain teams to prioritize metadata, data product, cataloging, and marketplace initiatives aligned to strategic business outcomes and data risk reduction, and serve as the primary point of engagement between domain teams and the Data Management & Governance organization for metadata strategy, onboarding readiness, governance expectations, and catalog adoption.
Additional responsibilities include identifying governance gaps, catalog adoption challenges, metadata quality issues, and opportunities to improve business value realization through better metadata, stewardship, and communications; driving enterprise adoption of metadata and catalog capabilities through communications, training, change management, and compelling storytelling that builds advocacy for data governance; and providing leadership and oversight across large-scale metadata initiatives and cross-domain governance programs, including roadmap development, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and delivery reporting.
The ideal candidate is able to analyze complex and ambiguous problems, exercising sound judgment to independently determine the best path to high-quality outcomes.
