Litigation Counsel / Junior Partner for an Entrepreneurial Law Firm
Our client, a successful and growing firm in Northern New Jersey led by two highly sought‑after early‑career partners, is looking for a well‑trained commercial litigator with 6‑to‑8 years of experience at the Counsel or Junior Partner level to step into a busy litigation practice and take responsibility for running complex matters from day one.
The practice represents closely held and mid‑sized businesses across a range of industries, handling commercial disputes, shareholder and partnership litigation, matters arising from corporate transactions, outside general counsel work, and employment‑related disputes that intersect with broader business strategy. Client relationships are approached in a bespoke, hospitality‑oriented manner: responsive, thoughtful, and grounded in a deep understanding of each client’s business.
You will take ownership of active matters, draft and argue motions, manage discovery, take depositions, prepare witnesses, appear in court, and work directly with clients. The firm operates without layers or internal bureaucracy, favoring lawyers who move matters forward, exercise sound judgment, and take accountability for outcomes while collaborating closely with partners.
