A well-established New Jersey law firm is seeking a Patent Specialist to support its intellectual property practice. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in patent prosecution and USPTO filings who enjoys working closely with attorneys in a fast‑paced legal environment.
Responsibilities include:- Preparing, filing, and managing U.S. and international patent applications
- Handling USPTO correspondence, deadlines, and docketing
- Assisting with patent prosecution and related IP matters
- Coordinating with attorneys, clients, and external vendors
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with filing requirements
- Prior experience as a Patent Specialist or in a similar IP-focused role
- Strong knowledge of patent prosecution procedures and USPTO rules
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
