Facilities Worker II Custodial

Description

Responsible to maintain the cleanliness of PVSC buildings by performing a variety of routine cleaning and custodial maintenance duties, including light equipment operations, landscaping, and snow removal.

• High School or Vocational School Diploma.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license.
• Minimum one year experience in basic janitorial services or general landscaping.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Knowledge of standard methods, tools, and equipment used in janitorial duties and safety precautions when operating equipment.
• Ability to learn key elements of housekeeping critical in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
• Availability for emergencies and job assignments on a 24‑hour basis.
• Ability to enter confined spaces while wearing PPE (e.g., canister and dust masks, SCBA).
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., carry, reach, push, pull, use a keyboard, and use tools in confined spaces.

Workers are employed in conditions associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system and will be required to work indoors and outdoors.

All applicants must meet the NJ First Act residency requirements.

The expected base pay range for this position is $41,315 to $64,851. The salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by relevant experience, qualifications, education, training, and formal credentials.
