Could you be the full-time onsite General Manager in Newark, NJ, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership, strategic management, and operational excellence expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated, dynamic, and innovative teammates. You'll drive the strategic direction and operational success of a large Service Delivery Center (SDC), fostering strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, operations, safety, and customer relations), develop and implement engagement strategies for employees, and much more.

Responsibilities
  • Communicating strategic and functional visions to all SDC employees through managers and ensuring execution alignment.
  • Leading diverse, multi-skilled, and cross-functional teams-including technical staff-to effectively resolve complex challenges.
  • Developing and cascading engagement strategies to the SDC employees while relying on managers and supervisors to ensure employee engagement.
  • Developing and assuming accountability for a strategic Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) vision at the SDC, while leading by example and fostering a true safety culture.
  • Developing "win-win" situations with customers, marketing and selling future business opportunities, and driving budget management while mitigating risks.
  • Utilizing knowledge of complex mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on APM/Light Rail equipment.
  • Challenging individuals to develop skills outside of their comfort zones and identifying and developing successors for key roles, including your own.
  • Serving as a source of professional advisory for solving significant customer problems and initiating commercial propositions for value-added projects.

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree (MBA) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of complex mechanical/electrical systems, with a focus on APM/Light Rail equipment.
  • Experience or understanding of leading organizations with profit & loss responsibility, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Familiarity with developing and executing strategic Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) visions.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing diverse, multi-skilled, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to identify and develop successors for key roles, fostering talent development.
  • Financial acumen with a vision for growth and risk mitigation.
  • Skill in building and maintaining strong customer relationships and influencing stakeholders.
  • Political savvy to navigate complex organizational and contractual environments.

Salary Range- 170K-180K
