Contract Manager

Job Description

• Work as a contract manager in the Procurement department supporting critical capital categories such as inside plant and transmission projects.
• Key activities include conducting RFP's, negotiating contracts, and resolving disputes with suppliers.
• This position will be responsible for the day-to-day activities associated with purchasing, procurement, and property management.
• The Contract Manager will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements, subcontracts, consulting agreements, vendor agreements, teaming agreements, and modifications as well as assisting in the development of related policies, procedures, and templates.
• The Contract Manager will also serve as the property custodian for property under prime contracts.
• The Contract Manager will be expected to regularly handle complex and dynamic issues related to contracts, especially in relation to compliance with federal rules and regulations applicable to contracting with the federal Government.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated ability to apply concepts to the functional area and see big picture impact of actions.
• 7+ years of experience performing this specific job function and requires very limited managerial oversight/direction.

Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus.

It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
